HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

1. Follow BirdLife International Asia’s Facebook, Tiktok or Instagram

2. All entries must be:

– Created with an ink or ballpoint pen (any colors)

– Created during the competition duration 9 Oct- 9 Nov 2025

– Feature an East Asian-Australasian Flyway bird (view species at this link BirdLife DataZone)

– Submitted as a .png or .jpg file (from 1mb to 100mb in size)

– Submitted with file names in the following format name_country of residence

– Submitted to this google link before 9 November 11:59 pm GMT+8 World Migratory Bird Day Art Competition Submission Form

– Must be submitted from a resident of an EAAFP country (Find list here Flyway Site Network – Eaaflyway)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

• Entrants may be asked to provide the original artwork (i.e. logos, or watermark text presented).

• Art images should not be substantially altered with digital means. The judging panel reserves the right and discretion to reject an entry if there is reasonable evidence to suggest that the image has been excessively or dishonestly edited.

• Artwork must not be created or altered using artificial intelligence platforms.

• All artwork submitted to the World Migratory Bird Day Campaign must be the original work of the entrant and must not involve artwork that has been submitted to prior competitions and contests, or has been officially exhibited (or in exhibitions) in any form both online and offline.

• By entering this contest, the entrant thereby asserts his/her right to the submitted work, and the right to distribute the submitted artwork in any digital or print form. The entrant retains full rights to the copyrights of the photograph submitted for each entry.

• The contest organizers reserve the right to adjust the campaign deadline as and when necessary, without prior informing the entrants.

• By submitting an entry to this contest, all entrants agree to these terms and conditions.

RIGHTS TO USE AND DISTRIBUTE ARTWORK

• By joining the World Migratory Bird Day campaign, you effectively grant the contest organizers a non-exclusive right and royalty-free license in perpetuity, to, publish submitted artwork on the contest organizers’ (BirdLife Asia) media and publications in any print and online format, including but not limited to magazine, websites, and social media accounts.

• Retain the artwork files provided and archive them in electronic forms as appropriate, so that artwork can be used to support migratory bird conservation.

• As a condition of granting this nonexclusive right and royalty-free license to use images to the contest organizers, all future use of artwork will be credited with the caption ‘© Person’s name’ if the entrant’s full name is available.
