World Migratory Bird Day
Launched in 2006, World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) is an annually celebrated awareness-raising campaign aiming to inspire the worldwide conservation of both migratory birds and their environments.
EAAFP Campaigns
EAAFP currently sponsors activities across the Flyway. These campaigns have been developed to both raise awareness and bring people and countries together.
Asian Waterbird Census
The Asian Waterbird Census (AWC) is part of the global waterbird monitoring programme, the International Waterbirds Census, coordinated by Wetlands International.
Launched in October 2021 by Asian Development Bank, with EAAFP Secretariat, BirdLife International, the Regional Flyway Initiative is looking to develop a long-term program to protect and restore EAAF wetland ecosystems and the services they provide.

Since 2020, the EAAFP Secretariat has been engaged in local projects in Ro Korea; two main projects were conducted in Incheon Metropolitan City and Hwaseong City.
Throughout the projects, diverse stakeholders from the local communities were able to be involved and facilitate cooperation for the environmental conservation of wetlands that are vital for the migratory waterbirds along the EAA Flyway.
