This Session will explore the outcomes of the Nature Credits Study undertaken for the Regional Flyway Initiative priority wetland sites in three focus countries (Bangladesh, Philippines, and Thailand). This session will also give participants a practical, hands-on opportunity to work together through the Nature Credits Strategy Card Game which is a structured, decision-driven simulation to design a nature credit project that maximizes ecological outcomes, ensures meaningful community benefits, and achieves financial viability.

Alignment with the EAAFP Strategic Plan (2019–2028)

The Nature Credits Study under the RFI is aligned specifically to Objective 5 of the EAAFP Strategic Plan and to the MOP12 theme to develop an innovative, flyway wide approach to mobilize financing for conservation of the highest priority wetlands for migratory waterbirds.
