Global Messenger Exhibition Booth at MOP12 ⓒ EAAFP/DENR
Background:
At the 12th Meeting of Partners (MOP12) of the East Asian–Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP), the Secretariat received a donation from Hunan Global Messenger Technology Co., Ltd. of ten satellite trackers (GNSS-4G) to support research, monitoring, and conservation activities within the Flyway. The satellite trackers are now being made available through this call for applications to contribute to priority conservation and monitoring efforts.
Up to 10 satellite trackers (GNSS-4G) are available. The final number of trackers awarded per recipient, as well as the number of recipients, will depend on the selected projects and their tracking requirements. A list of the available trackers can be found here.
Please note that the awarded satellite trackers include one year of data service. Any subsequent data service costs will be the responsibility of the recipient.
Selected recipients will be responsible for coordinating shipment arrangements directly with Hunan Global Messenger Technology Co., Ltd. The donor will cover the associated shipment costs; however, recipients will be responsible for clearing customs. Production and shipment of the trackers will take approximately 4–5 weeks.
Data generated through the trackers may also be used by the donor, Hunan Global Messenger Technology Co., Ltd., for academic publication purposes.
