Writer Country Title Descripption Clyde Reignheart B. Paranpan Philippines Omniscient written “Omniscient” is a reflective poem that explores the connection between humans and birds as symbols of life, freedom and balance in nature. It highlights how birds live without boundaries while human divides and slowly harm the environment. Through vivid imagery and tone, guided by the theme, "Every bird counts - your observations matter!", the poem emphasizes the consequences of pollution, deforestation, and neglecting the health of our mother earth. It delivers a message of responsibility, reminding readers that every action matters, especially in this celebration of World Migratory Bird Day. Ultimately, the poem calls for awareness, compassion, and change, encouraging people to protect nature and ensure that all living creatures continue to thrive. Siti ‘Auni Qasdina Mohd Sanusi Malaysia Then end of the global flyway when the sky goes silent Focused on the East Asian-Australasian Flyway, this speech highlights the urgent decline of migratory waterbirds due to habitat loss. By sharing personal experiences in wetland birdwatching, making “citizen science”the champions, proving that student observations provide vital data for conservation. The message emphasizes that young people must bridge the gap between data and storytelling to protect "refueling stations." Ultimately, it’s a call to action where every bird counted is a step toward a sustainable, borderless future for nature. Queenie Agdalipe Philippines Ornithomancy: Divinations Waved from Birds, Life, and Migration Ornithomancy is a pair of essay and poem that reflects on migratory birds, flyways, and the invisible lines that bind our lives to the natural world. Through birds as both witness and metaphor, the work explores interconnectedness, memory, hope, and the quiet continuities that sustain life across distances. May this collection remind us that we are never separate from the world we move through—that every action creates ripples beyond ourselves, and that caring for nature is ultimately a shared responsibility to each other, to Mother Earth, and all of life.
